This conference uses a one-step submission process. Authors can participate in the conference submitting either a Full Paper or just an Abstract (and just one of the two). If authors choose to submit an Abstract they will no longer be allowed to submit a Full Paper later. Abstracts or Full Papers may be written in one of the following languages: English, Portuguese or Spanish.
For authors participating with a Full Paper:
Papers should not exceed 7000 words (Microsoft Word format, font Calibri 9, single spacing) including References. Each paper must include a short abstract of 150-160 words and 5 keywords in its original language. If the original language is Portuguese or Spanish it must include also an abstract and keywords in English.
Very important: Please check if your references are complete and in accordance with APA style (preferably 7th Edition). For instance, if articles in the list of REFERENCES include authors name(s), date, title, name of journal, volume, issue and pages. References or citations made along the text must be included in the REFERENCES on the end of the paper. This list of REFERENCES can include only authors and works cited or referred in the text. Models from other authors may be included in the text ONLY when new content has been added, enriching the original model.
For authors participating with an Abstract: Abstracts should have 150-160 words and include 5 Keywords. It is suggested that Abstracts have a structure, including objectives, methods, results, and conclusion.
Submission Preparation Checklist
1. Each paper or abstract must include its title in English if this is not its original language. Papers must be uploaded as Review Version with no names or information of their authors.
2. Each paper should have its own internal structure, preferably with introduction and objectives, methods, results, Discussion, and conclusion, as well as references. Each abstract should include objectives, methodology and main results.
3. The author (or authors – max. 6) should upload a Supplementary File with the short curriculum vitae (maximum of five lines) of each author including: name, address, e-mail, telephone number, academic degree, professional status, department and university.
If papers (or Abstracts) have more than one author, the names of all authors must be inserted in the platform during the submission process. Note that the author who registers in the platform for submitting a Full Paper or an Abstract will be the first author. If there are co-authors, their names must be added in the correct order during the submission process.
4. Tables, graphs and figures included in the text MUST BE EDITABLE and should be also delivered separately in the program format in which they were created. NEVER INSERT TABLES or GRAPHS AS IMAGES in the text. Texts must be COMPLETE for reviewing, i.e. they must include Tables, graphs, etc. because reviewers only have access to papers and not to any annexes.
The placement of tables, figures or graphs in the text should be done immediately after the paragraph where they are mentioned for the first time. A mention to the table, figure or graph is necessary and compulsory in the preceding paragraph.
5. Submitted papers or abstracts are of sole responsibility of their authors.
6. No footnotes allowed.
7. Each paper should include up to 60 references (max.) to the most important works for the topic discussed, especially from the last 5 years. Citations from journals indexed in SCOPUS and WEB OF SCIENCE and are strongly recommended. References should comply with the APA style.
8. Please note that only papers which fully comply with these guidelines will be considered for publication.
